This is a 4 bar section of a Stef Hodgden composition, repeated ad infinitum, vocal by Daughter Addy…I’d love to get her “grown up” version of this…whaddya’ say, Beauxbeaux?
Grandpa did have a band…comprised of working class men in Lake Mills, Iowa, they boasted, “They could play all night and not repeat a song.” I think grandpa Chris played fiddle.
The first time I went into a recording studio was at Quad Sound across the river from Philly…to record a version of this song with Band of Gold singer Rick Allberger and an 8 piece horn band…the song changed lyrics through the years and ended up as this…recorded in my basement with an Alesis drum machine added one drum at a time, manually….no tick track, unfortunately
